Private Surf Lessons In Perranporth

Want the extra special touch, or got children under 7? This is the one. A private lesson means you, your family or your small group get a surf coach entirely to yourselves, working at your pace on whatever you need.

Going from surfing white water to catching green waves out the back is a big jump. We know, and we're here to help you make it one wave at a time. If you're an intermediate surfer, or you just want to fix one specific thing that isn't clicking, this is the session for it.

The other benefit is time. Private lessons let us be flexible with start times, so we can pick the best day and window to go surfing and dodge the crowds in peak summer. Fancy a dawny sesh? You've got it. Prefer a sunset glass-off? No problem

Private Surf Lesson Frequently Asked Questions

How young can my child start on a private lesson?
There's no minimum age on a private lesson. It's why a lot of families book them, because our group lessons start at 7 and private is the way in for younger ones.
How long is a private lesson?
Two hours, the same as our group sessions, and all the equipment is included.
Can we choose our own start time?
Yes, and it's one of the best bits. We can work around the tide and the crowds, so a dawn session or a sunset glass-off is no problem.
Do I need any experience?
None. Plenty of people book private precisely because they've never surfed and would rather not do it in front of a group.
Can you teach a group with different abilities?
Yes, that's exactly what having your own coach is for. Complete beginner and improver in the same session is fine.
How many people can be on a private lesson?
Up to 8. It's still your own coach and your own session, the price just scales with the number of surfers.
Is it worth it over a group lesson?
If you're nervous, if the children are under 7, if you want a specific start time, or if there's one thing you want to work on, then yes. If you're happy learning alongside other people, a standard lesson does the job for less.
What happens if the conditions aren't good?
We'd rather move the session than run a bad one. Private lessons are flexible on timing, so we can usually shift you to a better window on the same day.
